Getting There

We might be on an island, but it’s really easy to get here.

• By Train or Bus: The closest Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) station to Eisenhower Park is Westbury (Port Jefferson Branch Line), just under an hour from NYC. From there, hop on the NICE (Nassau Inter-County Express) bus for a quick ride to the park. • By Plane: JFK International Airport and LaGuardia Airport are both about 23 miles away, offering convenient access. For a regional option, Long Island MacArthur Airport (ISP) in Ronkonkoma is another great choice.

• By Car:

  • If you're traveling westbound on the LIE (from eastern Long Island):

    1. Take Exit 42 to merge onto the Northern State Parkway West.

    2. Continue on the Northern State Parkway to Exit 31A, then merge onto the Meadowbrook Parkway South toward Jones Beach.

    3. Take Exit M5 for Hempstead Turnpike (NY-24) East toward East Meadow/Farmingdale.

    4. At the first traffic light, make a left onto Merrick Avenue.

    5. Proceed approximately 0.4 miles and turn left into Eisenhower Park.

  • If you're traveling eastbound on the LIE (from New York City or western Long Island):

    1. Take Exit 38 to merge onto the Northern State Parkway East toward Hauppauge.

    2. Continue on the Northern State Parkway to Exit 31A, then merge onto the Meadowbrook Parkway South toward Jones Beach.

    3. Take Exit M5 for Hempstead Turnpike (NY-24) East toward East Meadow/Farmingdale.

    4. At the first traffic light, make a left onto Merrick Avenue.

    5. Proceed approximately 0.4 miles and turn left into Eisenhower Park.

  • From Southern State Parkway (either direction):

    1. Take Exit 22N for Meadowbrook Parkway North.

    2. Continue on the Meadowbrook Parkway North for about 3 miles.

    3. Take Exit M5 for Hempstead Turnpike (NY-24) East toward East Meadow.

    4. At the first traffic light, make a left turn onto Merrick Avenue.

    5. Proceed about 0.4 miles, then turn left into Eisenhower Park.

    6. Make the first right into the parking field.

  • From the Northern State Parkway:

    1. Take Exit 31A to merge onto the Meadowbrook Parkway South toward Jones Beach.

    2. Stay on the Meadowbrook Parkway for about 2 miles.

    3. Take Exit M5 for Hempstead Turnpike (NY-24) East toward East Meadow/Farmingdale.

    4. At the first traffic light, make a left turn onto Merrick Avenue.

    5. Drive approximately 0.4 miles, then turn left into Eisenhower Park.
